This mod no longer works in 1.8 so I updated it.

Instead of replacing the original robot portrait, this mod add 2 new Neptunia ones, which means you can only see them when you enter the modification menu. Also, when you upgrade robot (say, from Droid to Synthetic), the figure will become the default one again.

I modified the default robot species, and it may cause compatibility problems.
