Crawlers’ Shroud Mod
Fixes and rebalances annoying shroud-related things.
Rebalance:
Reduces shrould cooldown to 2 year from 5, enables end of the cycle for multiplayer, and sets its weight equal to the other 4 shroud patrons.
Grants the Reckoning a 10% chance to repair itself when it moves (it moves with MTTH 3 months).
Bug fix:
A bug that makes Reckoning unable to attack colonies but instead to attack uncolonized colonizable planets. Edit: oh look, paradox finally noticed this after 2 major versions and a story pack and fixed this, cool!
A bug that makes habitats eligable for the exile planet, but these can’t make a spaceport so you cannot make any ships and are imprisoned there unless given planets.
Reckoning now has a shield capacitor to fix its apparent inability to regenerate any shields. Edit: seems shield capacators got replaced with shield boosters, ah well.
Some motivation for the mod:
Roughly calculated expected time to get end of the cycle assuming not missing any attempts at doing so and picking the right choices are as follows.
Without mod:
Single player: 5000 years
Multiplayer: never
With mod:
Single and multiplayer: 100 years
Compatability:
Should be safe to add or remove to save games and use alongside any other mods that do not modify eventsutopia_shroud_events.txt or commonglobal_ship_designsutopia_designs.txt. Do note that the shield capacator is set upon the end of the cycle convent expiring, as such adding this mod after might not add the capacator and vice versa.
