Snowball
This mod makes various tweaks to remove or weaken the arbitary restrictions on players. No DLC is required. I want the player to snowball freely, so the mod’s theme is snowballing, i.e. becoming exponentially more powerful. The mod is meant for large empires in large galaxies. Be sure to select high technology and tradition costs! Otherwise the game becomes quite imbalanced as technologies are researched too quickly.
I invite you to tell me any comments, ideas, praise, criticism, or anything else. I am merely one person, and I feel certain others will think of improvements that I would never have imagined. I’m sure someone else could do this better, so please use any of my work in your mod if you think it will help.

"Why is this number not zero?"
This is the question I asked many times while perusing the files. These are all the things I simply removed: empire size penalties for technologies and traditions, government cooldown years, policy cooldown years, rival cooldown years, insult cooldown years, minimum wait time for integration.
Better orbital bombardment
Damage from orbital bombardment was massively increased. Hundreds of ships are barraging the surface with countless nuclear missiles. Everything on that planet should die quickly. Don’t be bombarded!
Shorter truces
10 years were too long. Now truces are 3 years.
Ethos points increased to 4 (from 3)
You (and the AI) can pick more ethics and therefore have more bonuses.
The jump drive cooldown was reduced to 90 days (from 200), so you (and the AI) are more mobile.
Building slots are unlocked much more quickly because there is no reason why you should not be able to build whatever you want wherever you want.
Colonies develop more quickly. I saw no reason for the arbitrary hindering of pop expansion in new colonies.
Outposts are cheaper.
