Star Oath Unchained Revival

Unofficial localization, bug-fix, compatibility, and Unchained restoration patch for Star Oath Project 2.0.

This mod is a large content expansion and maintenance addon for Star Oath Project 2.0. It began as an English update and Unchained repair patch, but has grown into a broader revival project with English support, Simplified Chinese localization, restored Unchained content, custom leader skills, bug fixes, and Stellaris 4.4 compatibility work.

It builds on the older Star Oath Unchained mod by carefully porting and repairing Unchained content instead of letting old files overwrite newer Star Oath Project content.

• English users: still need StarOath English Translation for full English base localization. This mod expands and fixes English support on top of it.
• Simplified Chinese users: Simplified Chinese localization is now included directly in this mod. The old separate Chinese localization addon is no longer required.

• Restores and updates over 200 Unchained leaders to work alongside the latest Star Oath Project update.

• Fixes broken leader descriptions, missing traits, bad upgrade paths, incorrect tooltips, and stale script references.
• Makes Star Wish charging and skill upgrading work for repaired Unchained leaders where supported.
• Adds custom Linkage Dimension leaders and many custom unique skills for leaders who were missing unique traits.

• This is a fan-made patch and is not an official Star Oath Project release.
• The old Star Oath Unchained mod is used as a source/reference for restored content.
• This mod is not a complete rewrite of every base Star Oath Project event, leader, or localization file.
• For English users, this mod is not currently a full replacement for StarOath English Translation.
• Most restored Unchained leaders still do not have full Star Oath/Oath package content, such as unique oath portraits, but oath bonding should work.
• Some base Star Oath leaders may require their original submods or addon packs to appear, activate, or become recruitable.
• This update is likely not compatible with saves from 4.3 versions of the game.
