Halo Weaponry — UNSC & Covenant Technology Mod

Halo Weaponry is a Halo-inspired technology and weaponry mod focused on bringing updated UNSC and Covenant military content into the game.

This mod is built as a compatibility and preservation project, combining and updating content from older Halo-themed mods into one cleaner, more stable and up-to-date package.

Playable Halo Factions / Prescripted Empires

Several factions include custom starts, traits, portraits, shipsets, technologies or unique setup logic depending on their current development state.

Custom Starts

– UNSC starts in Sol with Earth set to size 28.
– UNSC can access Orbital Ring technology/support if Overlord is active.
– Covenant starts with High Charity as an Ecumenopolis if MegaCorp is active.
– Covenant uses a safe fallback planet if MegaCorp is not active.
– Forerunners start with a Shield World-style capital setup.
– Custom starting systems are being improved over time.
– New origin focused on starting inside a custom Dead World / Barren Habitat.
– New origin focused on UNSC insurgent
– New origin focused on survivor of a rog forerunner in an ark

Technologies

– UNSC military technologies
– Covenant military technologies
– Sangheili-related content
– Ancient Human / Precursor-inspired technologies

Technology balance and faction weighting are still being adjusted. The goal is to keep player freedom while making AI empires naturally favor their own faction-themed technologies.

The Shield World has received its first functional rework. Halo Ring gameplay will be expanded in future updates.

Some localisation may still be improved over time as the mod grows.

Compatibility and Fallbacks

Halo Weaponry includes fallback logic for some DLC-related content.

Examples:
– without Overlord, UNSC Orbital Ring content will use fallback behavior.
– without MegaCorp, Covenant High Charity will use a safe fallback instead of Ecumenopolis.

MOD PHILOSOPHY

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Halo Weaponry is not a full Halo total conversion yet.

It is currently a focused Halo weaponry and technology mod, centered on UNSC and Covenant content. The goal is to provide a clean, updated and playable Halo tech experience without requiring players to install several outdated or incompatible mods.

The project aims to preserve useful content from older abandoned Halo mods while modernizing it for the latest version of the game.

This mod is up to date with the current game version to the best of my ability.

Since it is based on updated and integrated content from older mods, balance and compatibility may continue to improve over time.

FINAL GOAL

The goal of Halo Weaponry is to become a stable, updated and unified Halo technology base for the game, starting with UNSC and Covenant weaponry.

For now, it provides an up-to-date Halo tech experience focused on UNSC and Covenant military content.

ROADMAP

Current development focus:

Patch 1 — Artificial Habitat Expansion

– New technologies allowing custom hostile-world habitats to expand further.
– Dead World, Molten, Toxic and Gas Giant habitats will gain additional district capacity through research.
– Asteroid Hollow Habitats will receive smaller expansion bonuses to keep them compact.
– These technologies will only affect Halo Weaponry custom habitats, not vanilla habitats or normal planets.

COMPATIBILITY :

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

halo portraits : should be compatible as long as you put halo weaponry under halo portraits in the load order

NSC3 : NSC3 should mostly work with Halo Weaponry, but full support for NSC ship classes will require a dedicated compatibility patch. NSC3 adds many ship classes and sections, so Halo shipsets may not fully cover all NSC ships yet.

Sins of the prophet : Sins of the Prophets is not officially supported together with Halo Weaponry right now, because both mods define overlapping UNSC/Sangheili shipsets and entities. It may be testable with Sins loaded before Halo Weaponry, but I do not recommend it without a dedicated patch.
