Animated Portrait Set
One set of fully animated portraits.
They twitch, and blink, and look around, and breathe, just like vanilla portraits.
The base portrait is available for selection in the Humanoid species class.
The synthetic variant is available for selection in the Machine species class.

The set comes with:
-male and female variations
-2 body types variations
-head/antennae variations
-clothing variations for all of the above
-cybernetic ascension-related variations (phase 1 and 2)
-a synthetic ascension separate set
-1 psionic ascension-related variation
-biogenetic mutation ascension-related variations (both require the Adaptive Mutation trait to be unlocked, the first is shown after a leader gets to level 4, the second after level 8).

Custom Empire
The portraits come with a custom empire (Sapphirath Stardom), a city set, and a custom name list (Xuvua) to go with it.

If the empire is not appearing in your list, it’s possible you’re missing one DLC related to its basic traits. In the case of the Sapphirath Stardom, this is what you require:
Infernals DLC (Unbreakable Resolve Trait)
Federations DLC (Diplomatic Corps Civic)

If you wish to play the Empire as provided, but lack the necessary DLCs, you can go to your steam workshop folder, find this mod’s folder, go into prescripted_countries, and remove and/or replace the DLC-locked features manually. Once you do, the Empire should appear.
Mind you, the mod as a whole does NOT require any DLC, only the custom empire (so portraits, city set, names, etc. will all always be available to you by default regardless).

Spawn Rate

The portraits come with a pre-created empire (which can spawn), but they are set to NOT be used randomly by the AI.

Compatibility

Pretty much everything. No vanilla files have been altered, and the additions are purely graphical.

Known Issues

If you use the base set and go through a full synthetic ascension, when you first turn your pops synthetics they will default to the vanilla Humanoid robot look. Once you have completed the Situation connected to the ascension, you will be able to mod the species (as you always can do, through the species tab) and select the custom synthetic portraits (or any of the vanilla picks).
