Description:
What is it?

Being able to terraform toxic worlds is a cool feature from the Toxoids DLC, but it’s rarely worth taking an Ascension slot for it. This mod removes the Detox perk and provides a Detoxification technology instead.

Detoxification is a rare tier 4 technology that can naturally appear after Climate Restoration is researched. It provides the same effect as the old perk, minus the ascension slot requirement. As a bonus, (spoiler for the Knights of the Toxic God’s quest) slaying the Toxic God unlocks the technology at 50% completion.

Because I was able to reuse tooltips and labels from the Detox perk and the Climate Restoration tech, this mod fully support all languages included in vanilla.


Installation

You can enable this mod mid-game and it should work fine, but if you already took the Detox perk you will be stuck with it and you will need to research Detoxification to terraform toxic worlds again.

This mod shouldn’t be prone to conflict with other mods, but let me know if anything strange happen.

Not achievement friendly.

This mod requires the Toxoids Species Pack to work.
