Astro’s Stellaris Overhaul – Galactic Crises
This mod is meant to make the galaxy is dark and full of terrors!
Note: Should be compatible with virtually any mod.
Note 2: Requires Astro’s Stellaris Overhaul – Space Combat.
Recent Updates
- Fixed some Brunai bugs (I think!!!)
- Updated for 3.13.x compatibility.
Feature Summary
- Made it much more likely AI takes the "Become the Crisis" ascension perk.
- The End of the Cycle is now more likely.
- Stellar Wraith no longer prevented from spawning past mid-game.
- Marauders will continue to awaken (though one at a time) until they are destroyed or become regular empires. They will also no longer ignore enclaves.
- The Bemat Thassalocracy will always spawn (and it will now spawn mid-game).
- Fallen empires will always awaken, and there will always be a War in Heaven.
- New mid-game crises:
— The Brunai Imperium (will awaken after mid-game and won’t like what the galaxy has turned into!)
— The True Empire (will appear after mid-game and attempt to subjugate the galaxy) - Every 5 years, one of the following may occur to spice up the galaxy:
— A random homicidal/crisis/non-pacifist xenophobic empire gets a big fleet boost.
— A mass migration of Tiyanki.
— A mass expansion of Mining Drones.
— A small Fallen Empire fleet goes rogue.
— A mass migration of Crystal Entities.
— The Brunai Imperium may awaken (If the Arch site is completed and if it’s at least mid-game)
— The True Empire may appear (If there is at least one non-machine FE and if it’s at least mid-game)
— A Prethoryn fleet arrives in a random system (Prethoryn crisis must be ongoing for this to happen)
— An Unbidden fleet arrives in a random system (Unbidden crisis must be ongoing for this to happen)
— A Vehement fleet arrives in a random system (Vehement crisis must be ongoing for this to happen)
— An Aberrant fleet arrives in a random system (Aberrant crisis must be ongoing for this to happen)
— A Contingency fleet arrives in a random system (Contingency crisis must be ongoing for this to happen) - If you have All Crises set, then a new crisis may begin even if the current one is not yet defeated.
Vanilla Overwrites
- common/defines/00_defines.txt, so crises may look for invasion targets further out than vanilla (so they are less predictable).
- common/ascension_perks/00_ascension_perks.txt, so AI is much more likely to take Become the Crisis.
- events/fallen_empire_awakening_events, so War in Heaven always happens.
- events/leviathans_events_2, so Wraith can be discovered mid-game.
- events/!marauder_events, so multiple marauders can awaken, and so marauders have more random destinies after the horde.
- events/!pirate_events, so Bemat Thassalocracy always spawns.
- events/!utopia_shroud_events, so End of the Cycle is more likely.
Incorporated Mods

- Fiiral’s "The True Empire" (Last Updated 20220301) – fixed the parts that weren’t working.
- LogicSequence’s "The Brunai Imperium" (Last Updated 20160821) – a customized version of the Brunai Imperium from LogicSequence’s mod.
