Battle for the Core – a Star Wars like Galaxy Generator [3.11.*]

Do you also disllike, that someday you are the uncontested powerhouse of the galaxy /galactic emperor vibes/, but somehow you are almost in the L-Cluster ?
Wait no more !
This mod makes it so that everyone (except Fallen and Marauders) spawns within the inner circle of the Galaxy (see screenshot). You might ask: "but those at the edge will just expand outwards ?". No ! because there are "Guardians" in the Mid- and Outerrim, with scaled difficulty so that even during the Late-game, the Rim might still be dangerous. Plus : those systems are within Nebulas, thus making it more difficult to explore it !
But why would you fight for the core ? Well because there is a special System who will spawn in the Core, with many riches but also many dangers …

This mod gifts you :

• a Core cluster, worth fighting for …
• a dangerous Midrim
• an even more dangerous Outerrim
• a closer spawn with other empires (see recommandations for QoL)
• more Marauder and Fallen Empires

This mod is not compatible with

• Gigastructural Engineering (yet)
• Wild Space (wanted to make this mod with mine, but as the mod seems abandonned since 2.8, I added the "Guardians")
• Other mods which have an impact on the Galaxy generation, but would be object of review -feel free to ask in the comments-

This mod should however be compatible with

• Real Space 3.8 Theoretically compatible as both mods just add stuff, but I do not recommend you to use the big Sol System as the "Inner regions" are already very crowded – If you use random spawn there should not be many issues
  use both at your own risk
• every mod which does not change/interfere with Galaxy generation/alteration
• everything else

This mod supports all Galaxy sizes (there is a patch for Gargantua Galaxy sizes : [PATCH] Gargantua Galaxy sizes for over 1.000 Stars/Galaxy -use at your own risk- or [PATCH] Uneven Galaxy Sizes), but It was build in mind for a 1.000 star galaxy
Please check this Google Sheet[docs.google.com] for the best proportions !

In order for this mod to work, you will need to put certain settings into the galaxy generation :

• Galaxy Shape : Star Wars like Galaxy (written in yellow)
• Empire Placement : Clusters
• Advanced Empires : None

I do recommend the following settings for the best experience :

• Galaxy size : 1.000 Stars
• A.I. Empires : 50
• Hyperlane Density : 1.0 – 1.5
• Wormhole pairs : 3.0 +
• a word about Federation or Hegemon Origin : It works, but I don’t recommend it for you (too crowded) – but the A.I. Federation start might be a great early/mid game threat for you !
• The Imperial Fiefdom Origin might be interesting with a competent Emperor (whole core under his authority storyline ?)
• The Payback or Broken Shackles Origin works too, but might be very hard for you, as other empires are very close and you might have a very short or at best one planet experience (youtube challengers, I call to you)
• Wish to play with different sizes/A.I. Empires ? Check out this Google Sheet[docs.google.com] for the best proportions per amout of stars !

No dependencies whatsoever, just recommendations

I recommand this mod with the following mods, as QoL features

• Slower Exploration and Expansion
• Quadrant Fixes
• Rebuild Enclaves
• no annoying ai techs
• Hidden Fleet Power
• More Precursors

There is one known issue : for some reason, sometimes one or two "fins" will spawn, which will have "one Empire per Star" – so far I had no success in changing that, it happend on all sizes and might happen with any number of empires.
If it happens to you, you will get "Contact made" on day 1, I would just recommend to you to reroll.
