Description:

A simple and lightweight mod that enables Gateway Activation and Gateway Construction from the beginning. This is meant for a more "co-op" experience when playing with friends and have better access to each other’s systems. Stellaris does have a starting mode where players start near each other ("Clustered Players") but it can still be up to 10 systems apart.

There are obvious balance and "realism" implications to this. Again, this is meant for a more engaging co-op or team experience, not competitive play.

Since both Activation and Construction are starting techs, you can use this in two ways:

1 – Pick a species with the Gateway Origin. This gives you a Gateway in your home system without having to build anything, although you still have to pay the energy, alloys, and influence to activate it.
2 – Pick a different origin and save up the necessary resources to build and activate a Gateway.

Either way, as soon as you find your buddy and fire up the Gateways, you can have immediate access to each others’ systems. Enjoy!
