Customizable Ascension Cap (3.7.X)
Are you tired of playing modded Stellaris only to be tempted by the idea of an Ascension Tier 38 Forge World? This might be the mod for you!
Dynamic Mod Menu is only required IF you want to access the menu mid-game without using console commands,
This mod allows the player to set the Ascension Tier Cap (ATC) via a custom GUI at the start of the game. When a new year starts, any worlds exceeding the ATC will be set back to the cap.
1. Start game
2. Change middle number with buttons to the left or right (or do nothing)
3. Press ESC, Enter, or click the close button at the top-right of the window.
When pressed, this button prevents you from making ANY changes to the ATC for the rest of the game. If you enabled it by mistake and/or didn’t make a save beforehand, enter the following console command below:
This should be fine in multiplayer, and only the host should have access to the mod menu. If not, the host should enter the following console command with nothing selected:
Should be compatible with everything.
Load anywhere.
Should be a lightweight mod, and I could probably optimize it a bit more.
So because I can’t stop the Player from clicking the Upgrade Ascension Tier button (without doing horrible things, anyway) and the fact that the effect is handled in-engine, this is one of the few ways you can actually implement a cap to Ascension Tiers. (The other way is modifying stuff in 00_defines, but it isn’t dynamic.)
