This mod was previously part of New Frontiers mod. I decided to make some events and mechanics from New Frontiers as independent products and develop them separately.

I am sure that many who have played New Frontiers will remember the events of the mold infestation. This mod is not a direct transfer of content into a separate product. Almost everything has changed and a lot of new stuff has been added. Even if for some reason you didn’t like the infestation mechanics from New Frontiers, I encourage you to give this mod a try.

This mod adds new infestation mechanics to the game, using various new elements of the game, such as situations. Infection will start as a mid-game crisis, so take it seriously.

You will have many ways to fight the infection, and if you overcome all the difficulties, you will be able to capture a valuable trophy.

This mod also adds an origin that allows you to play as an infecting crisis. But I recommend using this only in multiplayer. In single player you are unlikely to encounter a worthy opponent. The AI cannot choose this origin at the start of the game.

At the moment there is only one pathogen. But I plan to add more in the near future.

Exomycosis is a fungal parasite with a structure resembling mold. This infection is capable of engulfing and recycling entire worlds, turning them into a single mycelial organism.

• This mod does not support achievements.
• Although the required items are listed on this page, this mod can be used separately. Real Space and New Frontiers are not required at this time. Not having these mods will not cause bugs, but common items may appear in future updates.
• Compatibility with other mods should not cause major problems. The minimum number of elements that can be used by other elements has been used.
• Some elements of this mod may well not work as planned. It will take some time for testing to polish things up. I would welcome any help and advice on my Discord[discord.gg]. Unfortunately right now I have almost no time to find all the bugs myself and adjust the balance.
