Introduction

Loading order is mentionned in the Collection New Origins.

This mod adds several origins. I wanted to add specific origins that have a real impact on the gameplay. So, every origin is a big gameplay change.

I prefer saying it here, there are several vanilla files and also code parts modified that could make this mod incompatible with other modifications around on the workshop.
Also, every mod version is commented in the "changes notes". So you can follow every change I introduce on the mod.

Other mods I made that can complete this mod:

  1. Spacers

    These Humans have left the Earth with their robots, their society was built around them. They are paranoid of disease and viruses, getting rid of them from their worlds. This combined with their knowledge of genetics and medicine has them hope to live around 400 years.
    This results in an over reliance on robots and comfort in life dissuades them from taking risks that put their life in danger.

  2. Enslavers

    This species has a long tradition of slavery. They don’t enslave specifically one species, slaves are really something normal in their society.

  3. Robot haters

    This species has survived a robotic uprising. Robots tried to purge them, but they managed to succeed in eliminating all of them. As a result, this species has no confidence in any robotic or machine intelligence.

  4. Clone species

    This species cannot give birth naturally. Instead, they adopted cloning technology to insure their future. This origin forbids any possibility to get any pop by natural growth. They have an unique advanced clone vat that they name "Original Matrix". This building is a powerfull cloning vat. As a result of their impossibility to growth naturally, without a clone vat, the population starts to decline.

  5. Caste system

    The society of this species is runs on a caste system. There are the workers, the citizens and the rulers.

  6. Gateways Masters

    The ancestors of this species mastered gateways. However, now only they know how to activate these gateways and cannot build any other gateways. Ancients’ Gateways are built in the gravity well of a star. These gateways can be built even if a normal gateway is present in a stellar system. If there is a normal gateway when an ancients’ gateway construction is completed, you will get back the alloys spent for the ancient gateway (5k alloys), but not the energy or influence. Ancients’ Gateways cannot be used by empires that are not the ancients’ heirs, except as a friend of them.

  7. Void children

    An origin that is at the crossroads of the Void Dwellers and Shattered Ring. Species of this origin cannot colonize, or terraform, any planet and must live in habitats (habitats are restricted to this origin and void dwellers) or can build stations on asteroids. They can learn how to build ringworlds unlike other origins (except the shattered ring origin)

  8. The Hive

    This species relies on its queen, they live for her, they die for her, Their goal is to expand the Hive through the entire galaxy. They consider all others species as food, alloys or minerals and therefor they don’t use diplomacy…

  9. City-World

    This civilization has succeeded to make their world a city. Their example has opened the way for building ecumenopolis around the galaxy.

  10. Underwater Civilization

    This civilization was born in the oceans. They live in their depths and now think of their expansion through the stars…

  11. Megacorporation

    This origin is 3 in 1: there is trade megacorporation, crime syndicate and church organization

  12. Toxic Planet

    This origin is a mix between overtuned and toxic knights but with several changes. The toxic species have specifics traits and upkeep (food + minerals). This origin relies on mud, that is essential for their development. While this will make them happy, it will hurt biological species at contrary. Mud is obtained from industrial and mining districts. These districts create specific jobs. Other districts create happiness penalty to toxic species.
    This origin has also access to a special building chains: toxic baths.

  13. Liberated and Oppressors

    These 2 origins are complementary. Liberated have got their freedom after making war to an empire technologically advanced. As a result, their planet has been hit by radiations and they have to find new colonies until the planet repairs itself.
    Oppressors are a technologically advanced empire. But, this empire is decadent and the science progresses with difficulties. Also, this empire suffers from its arrogance..
