This is a hotfix for Aggressive Crisis Engine which will make empire modifiers like Enemy Unknown (damage penalty to crisis factions) work again. It is not essential for ACEMOD to work, this is only needed if you want damage modifiers working.

Load order

Due to the way overwrites work in this mod this fix needs to be at the absolute bottom of the load order for ACE crisis AI to work!

Technical details

ACEMOD requires disabling vanilla crisis AI. The only way to do it is to modify crisis country definitions inside /common/country_types/00_country_types.txt

One can do this by overwriting only countries that need to be changed. Unfortunately, this method induces a bug where damage modifiers against that country simply break and do not work. This bug has been reported to Paradox.

Second option is to overwrite whole 00_country_types.txt. This method does not produce bug but has a nasty side effect of making the mod incompatible with anything which changes whole 00_country_types.txt file as well. Notable examples include Starnet AI, Glavius Ultimate AI and Stefan’s Perfectly Balanced Mod.

Mod compatibility is priority for the ACE team, this is why this fix with whole 00_country_types.txt file is published as a standalone mod.

It is Stefan’s Perfectly Balanced version of the file (which gives slightly better base research production to the AI, most welcome) and disabled crisis AI settings from the ACE side.
