Giga Diversity

This mod is a work in progress that is designed to make Gigastructural Engineering, Planetary Diversity, and Guilli’s Planet Modifiers and Features more synergistic.

Current Features:
  • Terraforming connections for lifeless planet classes from Gigastructural Engineering and Planetary Diversity
  • Planetary Habitats from Planetary Diversity can now be converted to Lifeless planet classes using a decision to add a terraforming modifier *Requires the additional mod Planetary Diversity – Planetary Habitats
  • Planetary Habitats for rare uninhabitable worlds now remember what planet type they were if the Habitat is removed by decision. The planet will change to the correct type after removal.
  • Added checks to remove additional modifiers when converting/terraforming from Planetary Habitat to a habitable world.
  • Minor coding changes in Planetary Diversity and GPM terraforming.
  • Automated Strip-mine: now treats Iron Planets special, like Ethane Ocean, Chthonian, and Diamond. There is, also, a progression of an increasing amount of alloys. There is a slight reduction in the minerals harvested.
    • alloys: Crust: 25–> Strip mined: 75–> Reach the outer core: 125
    • minerals: Crust: 225–>Strip mined: 200–>Reach the outer core: 200
  • Dynamic Core Ignitor can now be used on Subglacial, Diamond, Chthonian, Iron, Carbon, Hydrocarbon
  • Atmospheric Purifier can now terraform Hothouse and Ethane Ocean worlds.
  • New Types of Dynamic Core Ignitors, Atmospheric Purifiers and Geothermal Stabilizers that are specific to Exotic worlds and Rare worlds from the Planetary Diversity. (In testing feature the times and costs will still need adjustments) Change inhospitable worlds into lifeless versions of:
    • Ash, Methane, Ammonia, Sulfur, Tidally-Locked, Eyeball, Rogue,
    • Lifeless Ocean (A hybrid of the vanilla Ocean and PD Aquatic world but lifeless)
  • Changes to S.U.C.C and Yggdrasil Orchid – build the Megastructure around Hot, Cold, or Cloudless Gas Giants.
    • The final result of S.U.C.C will not be a barren world. It will be a Chthonian world.
  • Changes to Substellar Compressor. It will now allow Hot, Cold, and Cloudless Gas Giants to qualify as long as the planetary modifier is found from Gigastructural mod.
    • Additional Planet Classes that are added from Planetary Diversity are now affected by star ignition.
    • Frozen may become Ethane Ocean (10% chance.)
    • Subglacial will now become either Melted Frozen (70%) or a Lifeless Temperate World (30%)
    • Moons that are that are Ethane Ocean Worlds or Hydrocarbon worlds have a random chance of changing to Lifelless Foggy worlds.
    • New Lifeless Worlds: *if PD Exotic Worlds Mod is not installed then some random occurrences will not happen
    • Lifeless Ocean – random chance when a moon is Frozen or Subglacial
    • Lifeless Methane – random chance when a moon is Frozen, Ethane Ocean, or Hydrocarbon Worlds.
    • Lifeless Ash – random chance when a moon is Molten or Volcanic.
    • Lifeless Sulfur worlds – random chance when a moon is Volcanic.
New Origin:

Sanctuary Interloper: Start on a Rogue world that is orbiting mostly ruined Behemoth Ringworld. There is one section of the Ringworld that is undamaged and inhabited by primitives. There are no story events made for this yet. (Thank you DoctorNull for the suggestion)

Additional Compatible Mods:

-Any Planetary Diversity additional mods will be compatible. Make sure that this mod is loaded after.

In Testing Feature:

Requires the Optional Mod – Planetary Diversity – Planetary Habitats
Hydrocarbon Habitats now is a variant of the Frozen Habitat.
If the Dev for Planetary Habitats releases an update with the Hydrocarbon World getting a type of habitat this will be removed. (Like when Subglacial and Volcanic received habitat forms that were just re-textured Frozen and Volcanic)
Lifeless versions of Exotic worlds: Ash, Ammonia, Methane, and Sulfur.
Lifeless Wet world that is a hybrid of Ocean and PD’s aquatic
Lifeless versions of Rare PD worlds: Tidally-Locked, Eyeball, and Rogue

Planned Features:

(These are in active development. Not added to the mod yet)
-Make changes to some origins allow exotic atmosphere starts. create country and select Methane, Sulfur, Ammonia, or Ash. If any other world is chosen an event will change the preferred class to the one usually forced by the origin. – Shattered Ring, Great Ring, Interstellar Ring, or Penrose Ring (disabled until further notice too many bugs)
-Planetary Diversity – More Arcologies – Add options to ringworlds and other Gigastructures. Change to Eco-city, Machine Factory, Bio-forge, Necropolis, Shroud City, etc.
-Additional Origins using assets from Giga and Planetary Diversity.
-Customization menu. After PD Exotic changed old menu was disabled.
As this is a work in progress the feature list above is not absolutely complete. There are for sure many bugs.
