Description:

Changes to bombardment stances (and their associated policies) to give the AI a bit more nuance about when to use them against what targets. Like if the AI doesn’t "really hate" a country, they may elect to use selective bombardment on that country even if they have indiscriminate bombardment as an option.

WARNING: 2.8 support has been tested to have no syntax errors (can load correctly), but I can not functionally test it until more of my mod stack’s dependencies update

This mod used to also fix the AI not using using bombardment stances other then "selective". This has been fixed in 2.8.1, but the fix I had still remains for those on earlier versions.

Adopts some of the ideas from Ariphaos’ Unofficial 2.7 Patch

The AI using these stances has revealed some bugs with regard to crisis, so some changes to the bombardment events had to be made. In particular, a crisis owned planet can no longer change planet type from bombardment.
Also, if you use Expanded Events, this change does allow AI’s to get access to Asteroid Bombardment (as that is tied to bombard stance policy). Also if using that mod, you can no longer chuck asteroids a crisis owned planets (made it too easy to cheese (and it also glitches the mechanics of the crisis)).

Because it just made too much sense lore wise, fanatic militarist and fanatic xenophobes now get access to armageddon bombing too. However, as a gameplay concession, the AI’s won’t choose that unless they are Fanatic Purifiers, Machine Terminators, or the crisis is ongoing.

Known issues:
If using Expanded Event’s asteroid bombardment and bombing a crisis planet, and it gets destroyed by the crisis event (as a natural part of the crisis mechanics), then you may get a prompt stating you are throwing an asteroid on the now broken planet (as now it isn’t a crisis planet for the one day between the crisis losing it and your fleets stopping the bombing)
