This mod is an addition to Planetary Diversity. It will not work without the main PD mod active.

This mod adds exotic species archetypes and the world classes they call home. Each archetype comes with a dedicated species class, climate-specific world types, and a full suite of matching districts, jobs, buildings, deposits, and terraforming paths. Cryophile habitats are pressurized to match their atmosphere, and exotic worlds can become arcologies with the More Arcologies submod.

Cryophiles
Cryogenic World Classes: Ammonia, Methane, Nitrogen

Cold-loving extremophile species that thrive on cryogenic worlds and can survive on cold ones, but are unwelcome on temperate ones. As a species adapted to frozen atmospheres, Cryophiles metabolize exotic gases to live, making the resource part of their daily upkeep rather than just an industrial good. Each planet-class has its own economic identity and native districts, including a unique gas-extraction job that turns the frozen environment into a working economy. The Cryothermal Engineering ascension perk rounds out the late game.

Acidophiles
Planned

An acid- and sulfur-loving class of species built around hot, chemically corrosive worlds.

Umbraphiles
Planned

A shadow-dwelling species class adapted to worlds locked in perpetual darkness. The low-light economy opens up playstyles unavailable on sunlit worlds.
