Lion’s Mass Effect Systems
Works with version 2.1.0.
These are my versions of the Mass Effect systems. Some can be used as new starting systems for custom species. Be sure to check out the many other Mass Effect mods available on the workshop.
These systems can also spawn at random, I tried to make them consistent with the default random systems. I might release a version with only the starting systems when I’m finished and there is demand for it.
My first focus is to include the clusters of major races for Mass Effect. For example, if you choose the asari home system, you will spawn on Thessia in the Parnitha system and the neighbors will be the 4 other systems from the Athena Nebula (which is the home cluster of the asari in the games): Ialessa, Orisoni, Tomaros and Vernio.
I’ve tried to represent the stars and planets based on the information available in the Mass Effect games. I’ve used the vanilla Sol, Earth and Jupiter as reference for the sizes for stars, terrestrial planets and gas giants.
Right now, 9 starting clusters are included:
- Parnitha System (Athena Nebula): Asari home system
- Trebia System (Apien Crest): Turian home system
- Aralakh System (Krogan DMZ): Krogan home system
- Pranas System (Annos Basin): Salarian home system
- Tikkun System (Perseus Veil): Quarian and Geth home system
- Maskim Xul System (Ninmah Cluster): Rachni home system
- Harsa System (Kite’s Nest): Batarian home system
- Aru System (Aethon Cluster): Volus home system
- Phontes System (Silean Nebula): Elcor home system

Four extra clusters have been added that are not selectable as home system, but can spawn instead of a random generated system:
- Widow System (Serpent Nebula): the Citadel, requires the Utopia DLC, is similar to a base game randomly generation Ruined Ring World system, but has the Boltzman system as neighbor
- Vetus System (Petra Nebula)
- Hercules System, Theseus System (Attican Beta)
- Imir System, Amun System, Malgus System, Relic System, Strabo System (Eagle Nebula)
- Sahrabarik System, Amada System, Arinlarkan System, Batalla System, Fathar System, Kairavamori System (Omega Nebula): Pirates on Omega in Sahrabarik System
The Local Cluster, with the Arcturus Stream and Exodus Cluster are uploaded as a seperate mod.
You need to edit your starting race before starting a new game, and set your starting solar system as one of the new systems for this to take effect.
- Adding more systems from the Mass Effect universe
- Adding flavor
- Connecting the relay systems
- Maybe some optional compatibility patches for mods that add more planet variation, so that the best approximation of the planet’s appearance will be chosen (the vanilla options for certain planets were quite limited)
These are just some new starting systems, it’s vanilla compatible and shouldn’t conflict with most mods.
