Battle Debris – Starship Graveyards
With this mod, ships destroyed in battle will (usually) leave debris behind. This is a purely visual change, meant to give large space battles and their aftermath a little more weight.
This may lag your game a bit in systems with large debris fields, but the debris gradually disappears over the years. There is a starbase building that can cause it to decay faster, so people with weaker PCs will be able to clean the stuff up to improve performance, and a building that prevents debris from decaying at all if you want to preserve it as a war memorial. I don’t plan to expand the mod beyond that; this will remain a graphics mod in all other ways.
If you want to remove the starbase buildings, for whatever reason, go into steamapps/workshop/content/281990/1353547443/mzilli_battle_debris/common and delete the starbase_buildings folder.
