Disclaimer:

Numbers are subject to change, as this is primarily for my personal use and I want a balanced experience, not an easy mode.

I always liked the edict/campaign system, but found it lacking in almost every aspect. This mod tries to remedy the situation by introducing new edicts, campaigns, decisions and policies to spend your hard earned resources on. More edicts mean more strategic choices. You can’t check all the boxes. 🙂 It clutters the edict menu a bit, but you cant have everything.

Balancing is obviously an ongoing process as I start playing with this mod. The intent is not to provide cheats or an easy mode. It is to offer more strategic options to spend your resources.

In order to keep campaign cost relevant in the late game and still allow them to be used in the early game, their cost now scales with years_passed and changes every 100 years: 0-100 years, 101-200 and 201-end. When their cost changes (e.g. year 100 to 101), all campaigns will cancel and you need to activate them again. So make sure, that you don’t activate a campaign right before the cost is about to change. Some decisions scale with number of pops on a planet.

Currently in the mod:

– 6 campaigns
– 11 edicts
– 4 policies
– 5 decisions

More are on the way. Some are unlocked via vanilla techs and some are there from the start.

Planned:

– more edicts and campaigns, decisions and policies
– more specific edicts for ethics, goverments, authorities etc., like fear campaign for xenophobes
– more war and peace related edicts
– extra technologies for unlocking groups of edicts (e.g. war related ones)
– maybe more special edicts for tall empires

Compatibility

Should be compatible with everything, as it only adds new stuff. No original files were overwritten and no animals were harmed during the creation. Should also be savegame compatible.

I create these mods primarily for my own enjoyment, but if you have any feedback, please let me know.

Also, check out my other mods. 🙂
