Arks of Humanity Updated (2.0)
Arks has been updated to 2.0! Only change since 1.9 is that Sarah’s replacement trait (since hives can’t have nomadic) is now Traditional. Possibly coming soon might be event chains and stuff. Old description below.

As the Familiar Faces species pack hasn’t been updated in an age, I thought I’d release an updated version of the species I submitted for the Arks of Humanity sub-mod. Fixed in this release are the incompatibilities between some traits and civics, the ethics of Exologistics, and the flags of Eden and Vespucci. Plus new custom start screens.
For new users:
This mod contains five human factions designed around the idea that maybe the Crysanthenum wasn’t the only ark ship that survived. The five factions are:
Unified Syndicates (Fanatic Egalitarian, Materialist)
The Unified Syndicates is a syndicalist society based around guilds formed by the various crew sections after the Ark’s senior leadership was killed off in an accident just before planetfall.
Republic of Eden (Fanatic Spiritualist, Xenophile)
The colonists who formed the Republic of Eden suffered a crash landing in which, miraculously, no one was killed. The planet they landed on mysteriously contained pristine and utterly empty cities. The colonists came to believe that they were being protected by unseen benefactors, which they have come to worship.
Exologistics Incorporated (Authoritarian, Xenophile, Materialist)
A subsidiary of the company which won the contract for the building of the arks, Exologistics Inc is the product of intense negotiations between their parent company and the UN, which saw the flagship ark of the initiative turned over to corporate control to guarantee continued financing of the remaining arks.
New Vespuccian Empire (Authoritarian, Xenophobe, Pacifist)
The ark ship Vespucci was caught in a bizarre anomaly during flight, trapping the crew and colonists on the ship for six hundred years. Forced to become a generation ship, the ship’s crew trained their children for their positions, and over time those positions became hereditary until eventally the entire ship had degenerated to a feudal society. Eventually the anomaly ceased, and the Vespuccians were able to colonise their target world, now with a much different perspective than the colonists who originally boarded generations earlier.
Sarah (Hive Mind)
One ark ship mistakenly targeted an inhabited world, which was none too friendly to the arriving colonists. Captured by the Yldar and subjected to brutal slavery, an attempt by the Yldar to psionically domesticate their human chattel backfired spectacularly when performed on a girl with latent psionic power. Sarah’s consciousness ended up spread over all humans on Yldar, and she wiped out her masters and took control of the planet.
