Description:

A solution to micromanagement hell. This mod unlocks the automated exploration feature by introducing a starting tech called "Exploration Codex". The original "Automated Exploration Protocols" tech got changed providing solely a set of bonuses for the science ships:
Survey speed: +50%
Anomaly research speed: +50%
Anomaly discovery chance: +10%
Anomaly fail risk: -10%

There are a set of other mods granting the Automated Exploration Protocols technology right at the game start, but those mods work differently (through events). My approach is lighter performance-wise. Plus the vanilla version of AEP has a survey speed modifier (+50%), therefore having that one straight at the game start doesn’t seem right – unlike the feature of auto-exploring which only saves the user from unnecessary distraction.

As for the compatibility, no files were overwritten, so it should be compatible with everything. To tweak the vanilla tech I overwrote the "tech_automated_exploration" technology in a separate file. As a result u may mention a "Duplicate technology: tech_automated_exploration" line in the error.log, but there are no actual problems it creates, so just ignore it.
