Fateweaving
This is a late game technology that lets you use fate to assign a random curse or blessing onto any colony in the galaxy.
Fateweaving adds a player-controlled planetary fate system centered around invoking destiny on chosen worlds, drawing unpredictable blessings or curses that reshape planetary conditions for a limited time. After fate is invoked, the targeted world enters a brief pending state while its outcome is decided, then receives either a positive or negative modifier that affects stability, production, amenities, research, or unity depending on the result.
The technology "Fateweaving" becomes available for research after researching "Ascension Theory". Once researched, select any colonized world—owned or enemy—owned and open its planet view to access the "Invoke Fate" button. A confirmation window displays the selected planet’s name before fate is drawn. While fate is being decided, the button changes to "Deciding Fate…" and cannot be used again. After the outcome is revealed, the button shows "Fate Decided" and remains disabled until the result expires. A custom status panel below the button displays the current fate state and its effects, even on enemy colonies.
Each invocation resolves into one of ten possible outcomes: five blessings such as Bountiful Harvest, Golden Alignment, and Scholar’s Dream, or five curses such as Shattered Luck, Hunger Shadow, and Cursed Silence. Outcomes last five years and apply their effects directly to the targeted planet. You receive a popup notification when fate is decided, including when fate is woven upon enemy worlds.
Fate resets once the current outcome expires, meaning you can invoke fate on the same colony as many times as you like.
Designed for high compatibility and seamless integration with vanilla Stellaris gameplay, Fateweaving adds flavorful worldbuilding and strategic planetary intervention without overwhelming complexity.
