Description:

This mod expands the planetary zone system through PIF-compatible overrides, allowing all types of habitable worlds to use more secondary zones and larger zone building capacities.

The mod includes configurable preset folders for:

  • Secondary zone slots: 3, 5, 10, 20, or 30
  • Government zone building slots: 12, 24, 48, 96, or 120
  • Main secondary zone building slots: 6, 12, 18, or 24
  • Resource and specialized zone building slots: 6, 12, 18, 24, or 48

The default setup uses 5 secondary zone slots, 24 government-zone building slots, 12 main-secondary-zone building slots, and 24 resource-zone building slots.

Presets are switched manually by copying the selected

common

folder from

_presets

into the mod root with file replacement. Detailed English and Russian instructions are included in the mod files.

Important save note

When changing the number of secondary zone slots, starting a new game is strongly recommended. If you load an existing save, there is a high chance that the new secondary zones will be displayed but remain non-functional.

To return secondary zone behavior to the base PIF setup, delete this folder from the mod:

common/inline_scripts/pif/districts/

This disables only the secondary-zone-count override. Building-slot capacity presets remain active.

Requirements

Requires Planetary Infrastructure Framework and must be loaded after it.

Recommended mods

For a better visual layout when using expanded zone counts and larger building-slot capacities, it is recommended to use BPV Reborn – Configure Zone Rows Mode with the matching visual preset.
