Twinks Atlanteans — Compatibility & Preservation Update

This is an unofficial compatibility and preservation update of “( Twinks Atlanteans )” for newer versions of Stellaris.

I am not the original creator of this mod.
All credit, ownership, rights, and creative authorship belong to the original creator, Twink315, and to any other original contributors.

This upload exists only to keep the mod playable, accessible, and preserved for current Stellaris versions.

Purpose of This Version

The goal of this compatibility version is to preserve the original Atlantean experience as faithfully as possible while updating the mod for newer Stellaris versions.

This includes, as much as possible:

  • The Atlantean theme and identity
  • Animated portraits and species content
  • The unique shipset and cityscape
  • Origins, civics, traits, events, buildings, and technologies
  • The Titan-focused gameplay systems
  • The original balance philosophy and vanilla-inspired precursor fantasy
  • Compatibility-related features where possible

Important Notice

This is not a 100% identical version of the original mod.

Because Stellaris has changed significantly across versions, some systems may need to be rewritten, adapted, rebalanced, or interpreted differently in order to work properly today.

My intention is not to replace the original creator’s work, but to preserve its spirit and make it playable again.

If the original creator wants this version removed, changed, credited differently, or transferred, I will fully respect that request.

Recommended UI Mod

Because this mod adds additional districts and custom content, it is strongly recommended to use a UI expansion mod such as:

Original Mod Description

“Our empire… in ruins.
Our city… sunken beneath the oceans.
And yet, we are unbroken.

We have turned to new powers and will reclaim what is ours.
With the Titans at our back, the galaxy shall fear us, and humanity shall remember our name.

We are the Atlanteans.

Forsaken by Poseidon, but gifted by the Titans, we will find our glorious path.”

Features

  • A unique Atlantean cityscape
  • A unique shipset, including support for many megastructures
  • A custom species with animated portraits and unique clothing
  • A unique home system with a fitting origin
  • A custom name list and flag
  • Unique civics, traits, buildings, technologies, and playstyles
  • Precursor-themed content designed to remain close to vanilla Stellaris
  • Unique robots designed to fit the Atlantean theme
  • Built-in compatibility support for selected major mods where possible

Gameplay Overview

The Atlanteans are an ancient precursor civilization. They are not designed to play like a normal empire.

Atlanteans often rely less on direct labor and more on automated systems, special buildings, and Enigmatic Infrastructure.

Enigmatic Infrastructure can be built through planetary decisions and provides automated production. It adapts to your empire’s development: for example, the more mining districts you build, the more mineral production it can support.

Atlantean Facilities are unique buildings that scale with technological progress. However, intelligent infrastructure may also bring unexpected difficulties and risks.

The Titans

The Atlanteans can worship one of three major Titans, each offering a different playstyle, challenge, and source of Favour.

  • Gaia — The easiest path, focused on sanctuaries, preservation, and life.
  • Oranos — A medium-difficulty path connected to megastructures and cosmic ambition.
  • Kronos — The hardest path, centered around war, destruction, and conquest.

Favour is used to unlock powerful boons and special benefits.

Each Titan generates Favour differently:

  • Kronos gains Favour by destroying ships.
  • Oranos gains Favour through megastructures.
  • Gaia gains Favour through sanctuaries and protected xenos.

You may choose not to follow any Titan, but doing so means you will not receive their associated benefits.

Titanic Realms

The Atlanteans have access to their own Shroud-like realm: the Titanic Realms.

This system can be unlocked through the Purity of Ascension Ascension Perk, requiring the appropriate psionic ascension path. Once unlocked, it replaces the normal Shroud experience with a unique Atlantean system offering:

  • Unique boons
  • Special components
  • Titanic benefits
  • Events connected to the Atlantean mythos

Favour determines how often you can access the Titanic Realms, with visits possible up to once every five years.

Known Issues

Some graphical or compatibility issues may still exist due to changes between Stellaris versions.

One known issue from the original version concerns ringworld construction: building ringworld section B first may help avoid certain graphical bugs.

If you encounter bugs in this compatibility version, please report them with as much detail as possible.

Compatibility

Compatibility may vary depending on the current Stellaris version and the state of other mods.

This version aims to preserve or restore compatibility where possible, but some integrations may require additional updates or patches.

Final Note

This mod is a preservation effort made with respect for the original work.

Feedback, bug reports, and compatibility contributions are welcome.
