Animated Portrait Set
One set of fully animated portraits.
They twitch, and look around, and breathe, just like vanilla portraits.
The basic portrait is available for selection in the Machine species class.

The set comes with:
-male and female variations
-caste variations (drone pops, scientist, commander, official)
-ascension variations for modularity, nanites, virtuality, and shroud-forged.

City Set
A custom city set to go with the Empire.

Name list
Hacky l33t sp34k name list to go with the Empire.

Solar System
A custom solar system to go with the Empire.

Personality Room
A half-virtualized custom personality room to go with the empire.

Custom Empire
The portrait set comes with a custom empire, the Holosphere, which makes use of all the above contents.

If the empire is not appearing in your list, it’s possible you’re missing one DLC related to its basic traits. In the case of the Holosphere, this is what you require:
-Megacorp DLC (government type)
-Synthetic Dawn/Machine Age DLC (machine species and classes)
-Shroud DLC (Mindwarden shipset)

Mind you that you DO NOT need any DLC to use the individual features of the mod, only the custom empire.

Spawn Rate

The portraits do not come with a pre-created empire, and they are set to NOT be used randomly by the AI. If you want them to appear in your game, you need to create one (or more) custom empires that use them. This was done to maximize compatibility.

Compatibility

Pretty much everything. No vanilla files have been altered, and the additions are purely graphical.

Known Issues

The visuals for the nanite ascension will appear on pops and leaders, but not on the default portrait used in the species listing (the one you see when clicking on your Empire’s Species tab). The issue could not be fixed without altering vanilla files, as the problem is that that particular ascension, unlike the other two, doesn’t apply any markers on the species itself.

Old Features

But what about the other features in the original Holosphere Rising???
I made the original mod before Machine Age, AND before Synthetic Dawn. At the time, pops worked very differently than they do now, and playing a synthetic empire was something of a hacky workaround. Since now there are far smoother (and vanilla) ways of playing such empires, the other old features of Holosphere Rising have become obsolete.
