I have a massive Private Species Collection mod that can’t be published publicly due to content used without the original authors’ permissions. However, if your profile is set to public, feel free to send me a friend request — I’ll gladly grant you access.
This mod would not exist without the incredible tool Paint a Galaxy created by Oatmeal Problem. Their mod is required as a dependency for this one to function properly. Load order generally shouldn’t matter, but for safety, place this mod below Paint a Galaxy. To make this work, please follow the guide from Paint a Galaxy mod.
The Galaxy will be added as one of the shapes, so you have to skip trough the vanilla one to find the new ones.
Flat Galaxy mod is listed as required because the pictures of the galaxies were taken with it. Without it it gets a bit messy and I can’t guarantee the image will match what you get in game, so please keep that in mind. When starting a new game, choose one of the painted galaxies via the galaxy size option—listed under its name—avoid the Imperial Fiefdom, Broken Shackles, and Payback origins due to known issues, and disable this mod when not playing on a painted galaxy, as its static-galaxy fixes may cause bugs in random galaxies. Obviously galaxies with the core occupied won’t work good with mods like GIGAS which also occupy that territory. However this haven’t been tested by me.
This project provides another selection of custom, hand-crafted galaxies designed for unique playthroughs. Each map has its own layout, structure, and all have 600 stars. But that numer is most likely exceeded with special systems and clusters generated by the game. Maps that feature populated galactic cores include spawn points in the centre.
Instead of updating this mod in the future, I will most likely make new season if I have some more ideas for new galaxies.
