Better Worlds (Gaia, Worldshaper & Hydrocentric changes)
23.04.26 –> updated, everything this mod does, is now togglable, so you can disable stuff you dont like seperatly 🙂 check Pictures
This mod upgrades the ascension perks World Shaper and Hydrocentric by turning their respective planet types into powerful rural economies.
- World Shaper
Gaia Worlds gain increased rural jobs
Gaia Worlds terraformed after taking the perk gain uncapped Generator, Mining and Farming Districts
Barren worlds can be modified via a decision to get the terraforming candidate status. - Hydrocentric
Ocean Worlds gain increased rural jobs
Ocean Worlds terraformed after taking the perk gain uncapped Generator, Mining and Farming Districts
Frozen worlds can be modified via a decision to get the terraforming candidate status.
(Note: You can toggle off any effect you dont like. Jobs are setup in a +100 and +200 toggle to get to +300, so you can actually make it +100 or +200 only aswell)
World Shaper
All Gaia Worlds owned by an empire with World Shaper gain increased rural jobs.
- Base Gaia Worlds: 300 jobs per rural district (instead of 200)
- With World Shaper: 600 jobs per rural district
Additionally, Gaia Worlds terraformed after taking World Shaper gain:
- Uncapped Generator Districts
- Uncapped Mining Districts
- Uncapped Farming Districts
And other Gaia Worlds get access to a decision to grand them uncapped rural districts.
Adds the decision to barren worlds to become terraforming candidates. (This preterraforming takes 5 years and costs 7k energy, 3,5k aloys, 100 influence for now. Might need adjustments to costs for balance)
Hydrocentric
All Ocean Worlds owned by an empire with Hydrocentric gain increased rural jobs.
- Base Ocean Worlds: 200 jobs per rural district (vanilla)
- With Hydrocentric: 500 jobs per rural district
Additionally, Ocean Worlds terraformed after taking Hydrocentric gain:
- Uncapped Generator Districts
- Uncapped Mining Districts
- Uncapped Farming Districts
And other Ocean Worlds get access to a decision to grand them uncapped rural districts.
Adds the decision to frozen worlds to become terraforming candidates. (This preterraforming takes 5 years and costs 7k energy, 3,5k aloys, 100 influence for now. Might need adjustments to costs for balance)
The uncapped district bonus is not retroactive.
Only planets that are terraformed after you have already taken:
- World Shaper (for Gaia Worlds)
- Hydrocentric (for Ocean Worlds)
will receive uncapped rural districts.
Rural job bonuses apply to all valid Gaia and Ocean Worlds as long as the empire has the corresponding ascension perk.
- Rural job bonuses are tied directly to ascension perks
- Uncapped districts are applied on terraforming completion
- No decisions or manual setup required
- Does overwrite the inline scripts –> Jobs –> farmers, miners and technicians
- Does not overwrite ascension perks. So any mod changing those wont conflict with this.
- Compatible with most mods
- Build in support for Better Origins (They use an aditional ascension perk only for life seeders, my mod already has code for this case!)
May conflict with:
- Mods that change rural job calculations –> that inline script
“Uncapped” means rural districts are no longer limited by deposits, but are still limited by the planet’s total district capacity.
- Not yet created
- Compact Armadas – Setup ship costs of players and/or Ai Empires. Make each ship count. Reshape the balance of the game. Make Ai stronger. And so on!
