ACOT: Secrets Beyond The Gates — Updated

This is an unofficial and unauthorized community update. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the original authors of Ancient Cache of Technologies (ACOT) or Secrets Beyond The Gates (SBTG).

This mod provides unofficial support for Stellaris v4.2 (latest as of release). It continues the SBTG experience—Gate events, crisis, technologies, and related content—on top of ACOT, adapted for modern game versions.

• Ancient Cache of Technologies (ACOT) — required; this mod builds on ACOT.
• Game version: Stellaris v4.2.* (and compatible v4.x where applicable).

With Stellaris v4.* came major changes: pop and job reworks, planet and district zone systems, UI and balance updates, and more. This update adjusts SBTG content for those systems: zone slots, districts, buildings, events, localisation, and related definitions so the mod runs correctly on the current game.

• Gate events, chains, and crisis content from SBTG
• Omega / Stellarborne and related ship, district, and tech content
• Localisation:
– English, Simplified Chinese — complete
– Japanese — complete (based on +JP mod; newly added entries follow the original translation’s style)
– Portuguese (braz_por), French, German, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish — complete (translated by AI, any inaccuracies are welcome to be corrected!)
• Compatibility with v4.2 mechanics and data structures

I’m actively working on bug fixes for both the original SBTG and this update. Feel free to report issues if you encounter any.

This is an unofficial and unauthorized update. Use at your own discretion. For the official ACOT experience, subscribe to the original ACOT and related mods by their authors. Development was assisted by Anthropic LLMs; no OpenAI products were used.
