Description:

(This description uses machine translation)

After Version 4.0, the benefits of building Ring Worlds completely fail to match their construction threshold, cost, and background lore. As a galaxy-scale megastructure, it gets significantly outperformed by planet-scale Ecumenopoleis. Therefore, I created this small mod to provide a slight boost.

Changes:
  • Planet Size (≈ District Cap) increased from 10 to 20
  • Clerk Jobs per City District reduced from 300 to 100. Correspondingly, Specialized Jobs per District increased from 500 to 600
  • Base output per job provided by Research Institutes / Supercomputers increased from 2 to 4 (※ Consumer Goods / Alloy production was NOT increased to preserve some differentiation from the Ecumenopolis)

Compatibility

As a modding novice, I’ve tried to minimize the scope of changes, but numerous vanilla files are still overridden. Suggestions from experienced modders are welcome.

It is likely to conflict with mods that modify the following:

  • The Ring World habitable planet class definition (`pc_ringworld_habitable`)
  • The number of jobs in *all* City District specializations (`commoninline_scriptsjobszone_xxx.txt`)
  • The Research Institute (`building_institute`) and Supercomputer (`building_supercomputer`) buildings

As of Version 4.0.17, the modification doubling jobs in Ring World secondary districts will function as intended. However, implementing separate adjustments to job counts in primary districts would require complex standalone changes due to technical limitations. Thus, secondary districts will now provide 1200 jobs.
