This mod allows you to see an overview of intel you have gathered on other empires, as well as thematically relevant information not usually available in vanilla.
Examples of things you can do with this information are to better identify strategic targets during wars such as shipyards, detection arrays, and major alloy production planets, ferment unrest by conquering loyal colonies while leaving disgruntled ones, and know which empires have technology you may steal.
UsageAccess the intelligence overview via Edicts->Intelligence Overview.
The following information is available against other empires if you have the prerequisite intel levels

π¨ CompatibilityThis mod will work fine anywhere in your mod list.
Stratagem does not overwrite any vanilla files, and will likely work fine with most other mods, that being said, if using mods which add or modify the following, patches are probably required
- New resources (you will be able to view all vanilla resources without a compatibility patch, but new mod resources will not be visible)
- Ship producing megastructures (this applies to megastructures which produce ships directly, megastructures that link to a system’s starbase a la Gigastructures will work fine)
- Mods which add new ethics (New ethics won’t be displayed properly)
- Mods which overwrite the vanilla definitions for low happiness, crime, etc (only affects coloring of certain text), and required colonization progress (rarely modified)
- New intel categories (I’ve not seen a mod do this) (Stratagem uses scripted_triggers as pseudo-intel categories to avoid needing to overwrite vanilla files, new intel categories may thematically but not mechanically conflict with this mod)
For help making a compatibility patch, message me on Steam or open an issue on GitLab.
I recommend using the project’s files on GitLab[gitlab.com] for any referencing because the downloaded mod has many parts which are automatically generated during the build process and is less readable.
- 0.1.0-beta – Initial beta release
- 0.2.0-beta – Custom User Interface
- 0.3.0 – Stellaris 4.0
- 1.0.0 – Full release
Multiplayer support is still on the roadmap after the custom UI, I moved it out of 0.3.0 for Semantic Versioning purposes
Future longer-term plans: Sub-mods which add features overwriting vanilla elements, assassinations and new espionage operations sub-mod
For the best chance of a bug being fixed or a feature being implemented, open an issue in the project’s GitLab tracker[gitlab.com] with the bug/suggestion label.
I will do my best to check the comments here.
