Description

Have you ever played an imperial empire, only for your heir to be of a horrible leader type? It’s quite an annoying feeling to have total control over your starting ruler, but no control over your heir. The worst part is that the heir cannot be dismissed, meaning that they consume precious leader capacity.

This mod seeks to solve this issue by introducing a new policy that will allow you to choose the type of your next heir. This has the added benefit of affecting all future heirs, not just the one you start the game with, and as a policy, it can be changed throughout the game as your needs change dynamically.

Mod Compatibility

As of Stellaris 3.8.3, this mod now has to alter a vanilla event in order to function. The following events are modified:

  • leader.200 – this event’s vanilla behavior is it randomizes leader class (if certain civics are chosen) and adds traits and levels if certain other civics and traditions are chosen.

If other mods modify any of these events, there will be compatibility conflicts. The events above only affect heir creation, so unless you are using another mod that modifies the behavior of heir creation like this one, the mods should be compatible.

Version and Bug Reporting

This mod is updated for version 3.12.*. If you find any bugs, please report them using the ‘Bugs!’ discussion thread.
