Description:

Want to ascend to greatness, but would rather not destroy the known universe? Than this mod is for you! Cosmic Ascension allows empires to build Cosmogenesis buildings and eventually ships!

To begin this path, one must first acquire 6 ascension perks, and research ascension theory, which will unlock all three dark matter technologies for ships in addition to the first gate tech that unlocks the first tier buildings. Eventually, a second gate technology will appear as a researchable technology, which will unlock the second tier technologies to research. The third gate technology can be ignored, I attempted to add in the Master Archives along with the other 2 unique Fallen Empire buildings, but the game kept crashing upon loading the main menu.

The ascension perk, along with the second and third gate technologies will all increase empire size from colonies, megacorp holdings, and owned systems. This is to encourage one to shrink their borders, just as a Fallen Empire would.

This mod has minimal impact on the main game files, as it adds it’s own seperate tech tree for all the buildings. This mod does overwrite the cosmogenesis ships, and will likely conflict with any mods that adjust those.

Eventual plans include adding in the Master Archives, Phased Empyrean Shrine, and Ancient Cryo-Chamber after figuring out why the game kept freaking out about it, and later perhaps add a negative opinion modifier from the Fallen Empires, along with an endgame situation to become a proper Fallen Empire, but for now, this is my first mod.
