some ai tweaks
An array of tweaks made by observing ai behavior, meant to increase challenge posed by the AI. Must be played at commodore, admiral or grand admiral.
Among the significant changes are included:
-Artisan output increased to 7 cg/7 mineral maintenace.
-Crime automation depriorizes clerks if unemployment is less than 3 pops. This affects ai planets too.
-All ships auto retrofit on the fly by themselves (AI does not retrofit ships properly). This is meant for the AI but the player can also benefit if automated ship designs box remains ticked to fully take control of all player ship designs. Once it’s unticked, it will stop working for the player.
-Starbase FTL inhibitors also project a minor healing aura system wide (AI does not repair ships properly and gets stuck)
– AI will use fleets of cruisers, priorizing a 1L/2torp/4s design when kinetic artillery and energy torpedoes are researched
– Ai will use disruptors, until a neighbor or rival researches either of the hardening techs
– Ai will counter corvettes and genious armorer with anti-corvette weapons
-AI won’t build fortresses in endangered planets (routine causes AI to get sometimes stuck in this and not build anything at all in their empire until the fortress demand is gone)
-AI is back at having forge capitals from the start.
-Tweaks to ai economic plans and budgeting
-Tweaks to some ai tech weights
-Increased passive WE gain
-Changed routine for taking diplomacy tree. Weak empires will get it asap,
-Rare resource ship edicts cannot be deactivated for 12 months upon activation, AI will use these edicts also. Requirement has been changed to their respective tech instead of having any income of such resource.
-AI empires will switch designs to counter corvette spam and genious armorer
-Diplo penalty with Ai empires upon reaching stage 2 of become the crisis ramped from -60 to -600.
Difficulty modifiers haven’t been altered much. Commodore gained +25% technicians output.
Uses a few starnet files to improve the AI starbase building and scientist recruitment: str_defines.txt, str_diplomacy_defines.txt, 00_starbase_buildings.txt, 00_starbase_modules.txt, 00_starbase_types.txt, str_strategicbehaviortriggers.txt
