Description:

Changes:
– Clones can now be gene-modded
– Synth-ascended Clones receive new traits identical to devolved Clones

Background:
Originally, I was mostly annoyed with the fact that you could not apply existing templates for clones (for example gained from getting the Brainslug event) to your pops. At the same time, the only viable Ascension path (if you didn’t want to stop halfway through Cybernetic) for Ascended Clones in Vanilla is Psionic, since Synthetic makes you lose your special traits and Biological is useless, since you cannot modify your clones.
I therefore decided to open up gene-modification for all Clones and added traits for Synthetics who were formerly Clones.

Known issues:
– All new synthetic pops will receive the new traits, not just those who were formerly clones. This is due to Synthetic Ascension merging all pops with Cyborg into a singular species and can’t really be solved in a smart way.

Future:
I’m considering making a more balanced version of the mod. This may include removing the Synthetic Ascension altogether, leaving only pop modification open, or nerfing the currently available traits. I might also add costs to the Clone traits.
