PMC – Playable Mercenaries
PMC-PM overhauls the "Private Military Companies" civic. In the base game, this civic describes your empire has having PMCs "on its payroll", however with this mod, you are the PMC.
Upon starting a war, other empires are able to purchase your support, and you are paid a commission for every system or planet you conquer. All energy values are dictated by an exponential function, meaning you will earn more money the longer the game goes on, to keep up with advancing economies.
In addition, the Mercenary Liaison office is changed, so you can sell naval capacity.
Currently, AI empires are able to hire you as a mercenary if:
– They are the war leader.
– OR:
⠀- You are in a commercial pact with them.
⠀- They are your direct neighbour and have neutral or above opinion of you.
⠀- You have Jump Drives, and they have a neutral or above opinion of you.
In total, the mod adds:
– 2 Governments
– 2 AI Personalities
– 1 Job Type
– 1 Branch Office Building
This mod overwrites the Private Military Companies civic, the Mercenary Liaison Office, and the Non-Aggression Pact and Defensive Pact diplomatic actions. Any other mods which also edit those game elements will have compatibility issues.
In addition, this mod has built-in support with both Ethics and Civics Classic, and Ethics and Civics Bug Branch, as long as it is placed BELOW them in the mod list / order.
