Description:

This mod is one part modpack of other people’s stuff shoved in for convenience and one part a mechanic I added based on the United Federation of Planets mechanics in the mod Star Trek: New Horizons.

Federations as the are in basegame are now called Confederations.
Running a Confederation is now slightly less painful.
New Origin that lets you decide which custom empires have an advanced start.
Diplomatic weight stacks from diplomatic interactions.
(AKA, you can now play tall instead of wide and still bully the Galactic Community into listening to you)
If you have Nemesis DLC enabled, you can now use espionage to influence other empires’ ethics.
Genocide opinion modifiers now decay 10 times as fast, but has been weighted differently depending on circumstances and will likely grow faster in most instances.

You now have the opportunity to create unitary Federations upon integrating vassals.
Confederation leaders now have new interaction events with other empires in the galaxy about every 2 years.
Confederation leaders now have events that allow them to vassalize other members of their Confederation if they are much weaker and the Confederation has reached a high level of centralization.
Confederation subjugations take time, cost resources, and has a possibility to alert the target if they are a player.
If via an event a player in a Confederation becomes aware that you are trying to vassalize them they will lose opinion of you, and probably try to kick your ass.
