At the moment, this mod is a "content plus cheat" mod based on the Perry Rhodan universe. I’m a big fan of extensive content plus mods like Gigastructural Engineering, ACOT, and ZOFE. Therefore, this mod will function like a content plus mod and should be compatible with other mods. A total conversion would be logical, but it would require too much content to be created.
To play the game, it is STRONGLY recommended to install the excellent UI Overhaul Dynamic mod. It should be placed last in the list to ensure that everything is displayed correctly. In the game, simply start with the pre-set empire "Solare Imperium". That is the complete package.
Alternatively, you can use your own empire with the origin "Heirs of the Universe". This way, you will also receive the events and tech, but you will miss out on the new leaders.
Mod content:
-48 new technologies in 2 tiers, starting around ACOT Delta level (including the ability to colonize barren worlds)
-13 new ship sizes, including the XS size for fighters
-8 hero ships
-35 custom leaders that may look somewhat, but not entirely, familiar
-17 events (mostly to distribute goodies at certain intervals, they do not pose any additional challenge)
-1 Origin
What is Perry Rhodan and why is it a cheat mod? Well… The Terrans in Perry Rhodan are basically better at assimilating and stealing technology than the Borg. They have stronger Psi powers than the Protoss and stronger subspecies than the Zerg. They are favored by one or sometimes even multiple cosmic, god-like beings and many of their leaders are immortal. Not to mention that the main character invented "plot armor" more than 60 years ago (in real life). So far, it has worked pretty well for Perry. (I have been very restrained with the bonuses in the mod so far)
The impressive part, however, is that this series has been written continuously for 60 years and has accumulated a mountain of hundreds of weird and interesting candidates that can be turned into in-game crises.
The mod is available in English and German. Since many other mods do not have a German version, I recommend playing in English, although the original series is in German. However, many item names are still in German, which sounds cooler that way. If there are enough requests, I will consider adding the English names from the official translation.
