Zro Dependent
This mod introduces one new origin, Zro Dependent. Your species has evolved in parallel to an exposed zro deposit, your biology being inextricably linked. Without it, it feels as if you are without food itself.

Zro Dependent Origin

"This civilization was exposed to ancient zro deposits in its formative years. This has led to instances of latent precognition and idiosyncratic traditions."
- Start with the Ancient Zro Deposit planetary feature on your homeworld.
- Seed new Zro Deposits on colonies with through planetary decisions.
- Holo-Theatres and Hyper-Entertainment Forums are replaced by Zro Dens and Zro Lounges, which have an additional build cost of 10 and 20 zro, and an additional upkeep of 1 and 2 zro, respectively. Zro Dens and Zro Lounges have 4 and 6 employment, compared to Holo-Theatres’ and Hyper-Entertainment Forums’ 2 and 4 employment, respectively.
- +1 Planet Hyperlane Detection Range.
- Hidden effect: Zro Distillation technology starts unlocked and can be researched. This is analogous to how Prosperous Unification starts with the Planetary Unification technology unlocked.
Ancient Zro Deposit

- Produces a continuous income of 1 zro. Only appears on the species’ homeworld, if they have the Zro Dependent origin.
Zro Seeding


- Creates an otherwise identical Zro Deposit on a colony.
- Can be done on any inhabited planet or habitat, analogous to the Transplant Tree of Life Decision.
- This would be done to support your economy, which allows for at least one zro den per colony.
Zro Dens and Zro Lounges


- Can only be built by empires with the Zro Dependent origin.
- Zro Dens and Zro Lounges are otherwise identical to the Holo-Theatres and Hyper-Entertainment Forums they replace, save for the zro cost and number of jobs. Zro Dens and Zro Lounges employ two more pops than their non-zro alternatives.
- They employ Attendants instead of Entertainers, and Footmen instead of Duelists (if you have the Warrior Culture civic).
Attendants and Footmen

- Attendants and Footmen are otherwise identical to the Entertainers and Duelists, save for their names and descriptions. They have the same production and are affected by all the same modifiers.
- Attendants and Footmen will not replace Entertainers and Duelists outside of Zro Dens and Zro Lounges (i.e., in Resort Administrations, Resort Capital-Complexes, and Alien Zoos).
Zro Deficit

- Since Zro Dens and Zro Lounges require zro to upkeep, it is now possible to be in deficit.
- Zro shortages have a -25% happiness penalty, a 75% pop growth reduction, and a +75% organic assembly speed reduction. This is identical to a food shortage.
- Only Zro Dependent empires can undergo a zro shortage.
