All the Limits going Up

All those years I was opressed and annoyed by all those absurdly low and comletely arbitrary limits. NO MORE! I say! My suffering ends now!

What this mod about?

It mainly increases few very basic limit values which tend to annoy you at the very begining of the game and make you less agile at the start. And some in later game.

  • +1 to Leader pool size, Research alternatives, Envoys number, Magastructure built slot;
  • +1 civic slot (tech)
  • +1 to genetic/robot modification points (tech) and max traits number
  • +1 Foundry and Factory as planetary buildings (3 levels. up to 6 job slots)
  • +2 to max starbase (Citadel) modules and +1 to buildings
  • +2 to starbase cap (tech)
  • +4 to max number of Ascention Perks
  • +12 to max number of planet Building slots
  • Lessened cost progression for planetary Ascention level
  • Minor adjustements to some space stats
  • Horrible and totally tastless locked slot pictures for planet/starbase are replaced

Which files are affected?
  • 00_ascension_paths.txt all of them
  • defines.txt some values affected
  • 00_starbases.txt "starbase_citadel" entry is overriden
  • 00_species_archetypes.txt fully overriden

So if you are using mods which override the same things, NSC or some other ambitious project, for example, you may have a problem.

I am really was annoyed by all those limits for too long and now Im going to enjoy my game with new ones which IMHO suits better. Also this mod allows me replace bunch of other mods and cut down their numbers in the list. And of course because Im so amazing and generous I decided to gift you with oppotunity to try it as well.

I found me in a gloomy wood, astray… Gone from the path direct… For aeons I walked through twilight valley… Descended into hellish depth… Seen horors untold and atrocities no other living souls seen. And name for this "Vanilla Interface"

Attention!

You may want to place some non combat modules on your Starbase’s 2 last slots — those modules wouldnt provide additional gunz to your Citadel — cause Im lazy bastard and didnt want to fix the issue in immediate future (which I know about so thanks for not reporting it here). Which I totally know how to fix but its frustruating and time consuming and Im totally okay with it (the issue part, not time consuming part).

While it is mostly possible to use this mod without UI Overhaul Dynamic, I strongly recommend you to not seek for comlications and do not use vanilla interface ever again. Also I want to recommend those mods …Tradition Categories (16) and Bigger Planet View to you. They can greatly improve your game expirience.

  • 2023.04.22. updated to 3.7, added global flag, fixed obscure issue with inability to pick ascension path after obtaining 7th tradition
  • 2022.11.29. 3.6 == 3.6
  • 2022.09.20. number of foundry and civilian industry booster buildings reduced back to 1 (cause bonuses being bit too fat) but now you can build 1 additional founry and factory as buildings
  • 2022.07.06. starbase capacity tech cost and tier adjusted, icon updated
