Description:

Legendary Worlds Extended 3.3

Addon for Legendary Worlds

This is an Addon for Legendary Worlds. It adds more possibilities to gain legendary planets, not by just finding it. There are technologies, decisions and even two ascension perks to add legendary stuff to normal planets.
The Addon focuses also more on improving Habitats and Ring Worlds by having more chances for different deposits as well as adding special descisions to upgrade Ring Worlds.

This is an Addon and requires the main mod to play:

FAQ
  • Why an Addon and not integrade into Legendary Worlds original mod?
  • — This mod influences the overall game balance a little more than the original one. So people can decide if they want Legendary Worlds for more ‘Standard-Play’-style or if they want the full legendary power with both mods.
  • Why is the Addon not a stand-alone mod?
  • — It uses a lot of routines from the original mod, but the main reason is simply that it would make no sense to ‘just’ play Legendary Worlds Extrended.

Balance

While this mod adds a lot of possible ‘guaranteed’ bonuses, most of them have still to be unlocked. This happens in different ways, through anomalies, technologies, ascensions, decisions, terraforming and events. Of course you have to invest a lot of attention and ressources to get to the really good stuff, but you can get there by almost 100%.

Also note that you still have to find most specific buildings/districts/legendaries, before beeing able to add them to normal worlds.

This still aims to be a highly balanced mod. The only things that are major affected are habitable megastructures (benefits after building habitats or ringworlds have high chances), ring worlds (they felt very and option-less for such a late game technology – so they can be played/modified in different ways) and very late game in general of course (you could technically have multiple bonuses if played long enough)

Improvements

Following the path of the main mod not to be a static mod, there are way more interactive mechanics implemented. Also most things have additional random factors, so you will be exited to find even the same worlds again.
Globally you can dedice whether to build your own ancient colonies up, add legendary districts to all your planets, terraform them to legendary worlds, upgrade planets to become your own utopia or focus on your megastructures. Of course you can also try to do everything at once, but this will be mostly impossible on normal timed games. It also depends a lot on what events/planets you can find and secure in early game.

Therefore you will discover a lot of interesting new play styles, changing up heavily every new game.

Compatibility

Compatible with all DLC.
DLCs not required.
Requires the Main Mod.
A mod that lets you see more than 5 districts is highly recommended (UI Overhaul Dynamic for expample).
Language files for every language included. (all texts english only)

No vanilla files were harmed during the modding process. Should be fully compatible with any mod.
