At War: Large Starbase Weapons
This is a fork of an existing mod – At War: Starbase Improvements by The Dadinator, and later updated for 2.6 by Kiithnaras.
I have made the following changes:
- Updated to 2.8.1.
- Made adjustments to the starbase type so that Starbases equipped with the Large weapon slots will be classified as Bastions.
- Removed the Heavy Defence Platform. It didn’t fit well when other mods upgraded the vanilla starbase defences.

Do your bastion citadels feel underpowered when fully built out? This mod improves citadels, giving them large weapons as well as providing better weapon batteries and heavy defense platforms. Don’t leave your systems unprotected.
Features
- Miniaturized Defense Platform Components – a technology to unlock Heavy Defense Platforms which have twice the hull points and twice the weapon mounts of standard Defense Platforms.
- Improved Heavy Defense Platform Hulls / Advanced Heavy Defense Platform Hulls – two techs to buff hull points.
- Citadels now come with large weapon slots.
- Starport Defense Algorithms – repeatable engineering tech to add additional defense platforms late game. Capped at 5 repeats.
