Description

Note: I don’t normally like to make mods like this since so many already exist – but the one I was using was out of date and I could not find another one that only makes these changes without also overhauling megastructures or changing more / adding new things.

Anyway, what this mod does:
– Build as many megastructures at the same time as you want
– Removes the restriction that certain megastructures can only be build once per empire / system
– You can still only build 1 megastructure per valid location (so you cannot build more than Science Nexus at a valid planetoid, but you can build one on EVERY valid planetoid in the system if you want)
Nothing else about the megastructures is changed.

Affected megastructures:
– Ring World (once per system, no restriction per empire)
– Dyson Sphere (once per system, no restriction per empire)
– Sentry Array
– Science Nexus
– Matter Decompressor (once per system, no restriction per empire)
– Strategic Coordination Center
– Mega Art Installation
– Interstellar Assembly
– Mega Shipyard (once per system, no restriction per empire)

Save Game Compatibility

Should be save to install and remove during running games (I had no problems so far).
But as this mod has to override the megastructure files, if another mod or patch changes anything for them, you may find values / costs or other things for megastructures changing.

FAQ

Q: What about the Master Builders perk or other things that allow you to build more megastructures at the same time?
A: Unchanged, but that effect is not needed with this mod. I don’t like the restriction though, it makes no sense to me.

Q: Why not just allow the empire to build more, like the Master Builders perk?
A: It would still have to be a number below infinite, and I have to edit the megastructures itself anyway because of how they are coded to allow more per empire / system etc.
