Credit

Alex FRD for Real Sol Textures
and from the page he gives credit to Ittiz from DeviantART for special Mars Texture & Malthus for coding knowledge so I feel it would be wrong to leave them out.

What this does

The star known as Sol is depicted in game as a fairly orange/yellow color.
The planets in the Sol system are depicted as standard every other similar planet texture with few exceptions

The star known as Sol in reality is a mix of every color and is in actuality is much Whiter than Yellow.
The planets in the Sol system in reality are unique in their own way (that goes for every planet in the universe tbh)

This combines Alex FRD’s Real Sol Textures with my Real Sol Star (with permision of course)

So this has every change added by Real Sol Textures:
"- Adds unique textures for Mercury, Venus, Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, Saturn, Titan, Uranus, Neptune, and the Tomb World Earth.
– Removed the 1, 2, 3, and 4 for the asteroids in the Solar System.
– Fixes the horrendous Mars texture glitch.
– Turns Ceres into a small cold barren planet.
– All Solar System versions (Primitive, Nuked, Commonwealth of Man) will receive this treatment.
– When encountering the United Nations of Earth as the Commonwealth of Man, they will use the correct flag.
– Terraforming Mars will now result in the use of a unique texture by the very talented Ittiz on DeviantART.
– Should the planet class of Earth be changed in between Nuked, Gaia, Continental, Barren, or Infested, the appropriate texture will be used.
– The same goes for Mars, minus the nuked variation."

Compatibility

Overwritten files:
prescripted_species_systems
special_system_initializers

There shouldnt be any conflict unless you are using a mod that changes those two files. I figure they are needed to apply to Sol correctly but if I am wrong then inform me with how to. I didnt want to make a thing and wind up having the galaxy generate in multiple different sol systems at different ages with different colored stars.
Although that sounds like an interesting idea.

Intergration

I know some mods add/change the sol system such as Advanced Sol. If you would prefer a version of some mod that does such a thing to have the proper Sol instead of the standard one then you will have to ask the creator of the mod in question if they would mind intergrating this mod some how. I would not mind sharing the completed files so long as credit was given.

If they just would not want to bother with it, I wouldnt mind merging the files myself (as ive done here) if that would be ok with them. credit given of course if was uploaded by me but I wouldnt mind the other uploading the created file to their own account. After all, the star is such a minor thing compared to what some other mods do to the system.

I also recommend Legacy of the Sun for more variety.
