Better Travel
Better Travel slows down FTL to something more akin to the earlier Warp drive – or to Warp drive as presented by the excellent Star Trek: New Horizons mod.
Over the course of a game, your engines will actually make your FTL speed better.
I have added additional FTL engines, up to level 6 (from the vanilla 3), which continue to improve your ships speeds.
In addition, once you gain Jump Drives or Psi Jump Drives, there are new hybrid engines that allow you to get the advantages of your best FTL drive for normal FTL flight, plus the jump tech you’ve researched. And as an added bonus, the new hybrid drives increase your jump range. Psi always has the edge, but both series improve your jump capabilities, and offer some increased chances to retreat during combat, etc.
