Colonizable Dyson Spheres
For Stellaris 3.6
3.7 testing status: COMPATIBLE: The mod works with 3.7 without issue. However, I have not purchased First Contact so I don’t know how it might interact with that DLC.
This mod allows you to upgrade your dyson sphere into a massive habitable structure. It will no longer produce resources autonomously, but can be colonized to provide powerful districts and jobs, as well as house an absolutely massive population.
This mod was inspired by Malekith’s Dyson Sphere Colonies. Since it still has not been updated, I decided to make my own.
This mod is savegame compatible. It does not overwrite any vanilla dyson sphere files. If you are using Gigastructural Engineering and More , you must disable dyson sphere scaling or you won’t be able to upgrade them into habitable ones. I don’t know of any other mod compatibility issues, so please let me know if you find any.
Machine Shipset dyson spheres are now supported. If you use the machine shipset GFX, it should carry over to the habitable dyson sphere.
Future Plans: I am currently working on expanding the districts a bit. In the future, I may add a more fleshed out way of developing the technology to build the habitat. Also maybe a control panel or something.
Other Mod Support: I made it work with machine shipsets because I use the mod a lot. I might also make it work with real space system scaling because I use that a lot. I might also make it compatible with some other stuff. But only if I use them a lot and it isn’t really hard.
I want to make something for the community to enjoy. Consider this mod public domain.
