About: This mod aims to give you (and the ai) a quick start into the game by increasing the development of your starting planet.
Compatibility: Only 01_start_of_game_effects is edited, so it should work with almost any other mod.
DLC-Requirements: None.
So what does it do? Thats Quite simple:
– Starting populations are doubled, except for Assimilator type empires that "only" get as many pops as hiveminds. There will be some slight issues with employment or housing, but they’re easily managed (even for the ai).
– District numbers are increased by +2 each, with some modifications for Gestalt empires.
– Normal empires get an additional Commerce Zone, a Civilian Indusry and a Holo Theatre or Temple. Gestalt empires get an extra Maintenance Depot and a Research Lab, and Servitors another Bio Sanctuary.
– The size of startig planets is set to 20, except for Life Seeded empires, who already have a 25 tile Gaia world.
Initial playtesting suggests the mod does what it is supposed to do; It won’t catapult you into the midgame, but you get stuff to do, including an early armsrace. I’m not completely sure about the numbers, but doubling pops as a rule of thumb seems to work just fine, except for Servitors.
