Introduction

Strategic resources are great. But I’ve always felt like only having two local strategic resources (Betharian and the alien pets) was a waste of potential. As such, this mod aims to add about 20 new resources to the galaxy, both local ones and global ones.

How do the new resources work?

They are just like the regular vanilla resources, althought most of this mod’s resources have a special building associated to them to activate their effect. Some local resources need to be "refined" through a building before being with a spaceport module.
This mod has integrated compatibility with Planetary Diversity, so the new resources will spawn on the new planets classes.

List of resources

All resources have an associated tech to unlock them.

Greenaurium
Origin: Created by me
A local ressource that can be used to generate energy and physics research. Can be refined to be used off-planet in special buildings.

Purplarium
Origin: Created by me
A global resource which is quite rare, and has a special building which produces lots of energy but also requires refined greenaurium.

Orangyrium
Origin: Created by me
An exceedingly rare global resource that gives HUGE amounts of energy, but some galaxies won’t even have a single deposit of it. Extremely valuable.

Terrazine
Origin: Starcraft II
A strange gas which seems to alter the minds of whoever uses it. Produces research. Machine Empires cannot use it. Local resource.

Neomolybdenum
Origin: Created by me
A very sharp crystal which can be used to forge powerful weapons and bullets. Local resource.

Glitterium
Origin: Created by me
A pretty and rare local resource that can be used to make a very pretty monument which increases unity and productivity. Useless to Machine Empires.

Diridium
Origin: Created by me
These strange rocks can be used as fertilizers. A local resource that increases food production.

Wooly Aliens
Origin: Created by me
Wooly aliens which can be herded for their fur. Gives bonuses to consumer good costs and happiness. Useless to Machine Empires. Local resource.

Xithricite
Origin: Starbound’s Frackin’ Universe mod (This is not the only thing in which Xithricite is referenced)
An energetic crystal that can store lots of energy, and improves the efficiency of power plants. Very rare global resource.

Admilium
Origin: Created by me (Inspired by Minecraft’s Bedrock)
This mineral is extremely hard, and can be used to make solid armors. Local resource.

Pyreite
Origin: Starbound’s Frackin’ Universe mod
A naturally hot metal that can be used to make deadly weapons. A moderately rare global resource.

Horbucloverite
Origin: Created by me
These green rocks make people lucky. Can be refined and used in a spaceport module which decreases anomaly fail risk (Because it makes scientists lucky!). Local resource.

Diamond Dust
Origin: Created by me
Very pretty diamond dust. You can either use it to make jewels and pretty things, or make deadly sharp bullets. Or both. Rare global resource.

Cobaltium
Origin: Created by me
These crystals bend light around. Has a few uses in generating energy and increasing energy weapon damage. Rare global resource.

Dispifium-39
Origin: Created by me
A deadly acid that corrodes and eats away almost everything. Increases society research. Rare global ressource.

Exotic Xenofauna
Origin: Created by me
The society equivalent of Dark Matter, and is about as rare. Global resource.

Crystaerogel
Origin: Created by me
The engineering equivalent of Dark matter, and is about as rare. Global resource, found in gas giants.

Verterium Cortenide
Origin: Star Strek
A rare local resource that stabilizes warp fields. Can be used to increase FTL speed.

Galkatite
Origin: Created by me
Strange red crystals which can emit energy in a focused direction, thus making them good for increasing the efficiency of sublight thrusters. Local resource.

Meol Gas
Origin: Created by me
A golden gas that is very toxic to most forms of life, but stabilizes the process used to generate shields, increasing shield regeneration. Global resource.

Compatibility

Doesn’t touch vanilla files, so it should be compatible with pretty much anything.

Other things

Use with Guilli’s planet modifiers and Planetary Diversity to make planets even more strategic and unique than before!
