Description:
Exotic Weapons (4.4.*)

Bring legendary fantasy and science-fiction firepower to your Stellaris fleets.

Exotic Weapons adds 28 new researchable ship components inspired by weapons and artifacts from movies, television, books, comics, and mythology. Every item has its own technology, component artwork, combat role, and visual effect.

Component Slots

This release adds components for the following Ship Designer slots:

  • T — Titanic weapons
  • X — Spinal-mounted weapons
  • L — Large weapons
  • M — Medium weapons
  • G — Torpedoes and guided weapons
  • P — Point-defense weapons
  • Aux — Auxiliary components

Simple Vanilla-Tech Progression

Each Exotic Weapon is unlocked by one or more existing vanilla technologies from Physics, Society, and Engineering.

Research the required vanilla technology, complete the Exotic Weapons technology research, and the component becomes available in the Ship Designer.

Balance

These weapons are intended to feel rare and powerful. Conventional L- and X-slot weapons generally sit somewhat above late-game vanilla equivalents, while several torpedoes and close-range penetrators are substantially stronger. See the included damage_guide.txt for direct damage, DPS, range, accuracy, penetration, and vanilla comparisons.

Compatibility

  • Built for Stellaris 4.4.x
  • Optional Apocalypse DLC required for Titans
  • No vanilla files are replaced
