Description:

Project Blacklight adds a controlled, self contained story chain to Stellaris that takes place entirely inside your own empire.

Something appears inside your borders.
It is already stable. Already consistent. Already answering before you ask.

Project Blacklight is a story focused situation chain with escalating pressure, followed by a final excavation and a unique relic.
Everything happens inside your own empire. No outside factions. No galaxy wide effects.

Features
  • One time black hole system spawn inside your empire (not at game start)
  • Country situation: Project Blacklight
    Staged events and multiple approaches.
  • Risk system with consequences
    Risk slows situation progress and triggers escalating negative modifiers.
    At high pressure, critical incidents can occur, including scientist losses.
  • Story world progression
    Completing the investigation unlocks the story world for colonization and prepares it, including a Gaia transformation.
  • Planet situation: Echoes of Novus Eden
    Colony focused horror escalation with risk thresholds and multiple outcomes.
  • Post crisis archaeology site on Novus Eden
    Four chapter dig with major Minor Artifact rewards.
  • Final reward: a unique relic

Compatibility
  • Designed to be modular and vanilla friendly

Installation

Simply subscribe and activate the mod in your launcher.
No specific load order required.

  • The system appears later in the game, not at start.
  • The system spawns once per game for a human player.
  • The colony storyline unfolds over time after settlement.
  • This is my first story driven mod. Feedback is welcome.
  • Depending on reception and feedback, the Project Blacklight storyline may be expanded in the future.
